On Wednesday, October 7, 2009, balloon artists around the world will be taking part in an event designed to highlight the act of giving, to deliver thousands of smiles, and to showcase the art of balloon twisting and decorating. It's the 10th Annual Balloons Around the World, and you can take part! This year I will be teaming up with Chic-fil-A at El Con Mall to benefit the Arizona Cancer Center’s Better Than Ever training group. Chic-fil-A will donate up to 20% of proceeds for people who bring this paper in and have dinner. In 2007 I was proud to be one of the 129 Balloon Artists around the world in 14 countries and 39 US states/territories to participate in Balloons Around the World. That year we participated with the GAP inc. stores in Tucson in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. We had a great time on the three mile walk while twisting Balloons and Entertaining the fellow walkers around us. Below are some of the pictures from that event.
